"The subject of research of the proposed project is cognitive computation modeling elements of behavior of living beings, especially cognitive aspects of this behavior. The research is based on convinction that cognition arises from (maybe verycomplicated) algorithmic principles, and that theoretical computer science is a proper tool for its study. Theory of formal computational models is used as a starting point, offering constructs as Turing machines and other types of formal automata (orgrammars), abstract automata as cognitive automata or cogitoids, connectionist models as neural nets, neuromata and neuroids, and recently also models of quantum or molecular computing. Theory of machine learning is another necessary outlet.Computability and complexity theory is used to compare power of various computing entities, insisting on theory of non-uniform complexity.
