Aluminides are in foreign countries used as heat resisting materials due to their great oxidation and sulfidation resistance at temperatures even higher than 600\u00B0C. They are preferred for their low cost and lower density in comparison with stainless steel and heat-resistant steel.The applicant has in his PhD. thesis studied high temperature creep properties especially of iron aluminides alloyed with Ce and TiB2. In the proposed project the applicant wants to continue in the not completed research of materials alloyed with Zr and to combine various types of hardening at high temperatures. The main task of the proposed project is to verify creep resistance of iron aluminides combining various additions of Zr, TiB2, Y2O3 in order to prepare composite material with hardened matrix and confrontation with creep resistance of ferrite material with high volume Al and similar additives."@en . . .
