The basic aims of the project are: to work out methodic concept of controlled generation of homogeneous bubble beds with well defined bubble size, to find experimentally point of instability of homogeneous regime and to prove or disprove the validity of the theory about Rayleigh-Benard instability of homogeneous flow regime in bubble column. Different gas distributors will be used for creating well defined bubble bed with bubble size in the range from mm to mm. Standard plate distributors with different orifice size will be used, and as an alternative, set of capillaries, textiles and porous materials. Mechanical methods for generating bubbles described above are not suitable for production of very small bubbles.
