"The whole waste production in the Czech Republic is roughly 45 millions of tons. This enormous volume makes considerable environmental issue. Approximately 28 % are exploited as waste raw materials. One of the possibilities for the exploitation of wastesis in building material industry. Exploitation of certain types of wastes is common but on the other hand waste materials such as fluid fly-ash, steel slag etc. are exploited rarely, practically only for experimental use. Influence of these materials on long-term durability of building materials is not known property. The project is aimed on a complex monitoring durability of materials based on waste materials. Object of the project is accordingly to ascertained properties to maximize durability of materials in construction. This will be achieved by clarification of mechanisms and processes of chemical reactions leading to degradation and by suitable modification of mix design or change in the used waste.
