"Materials engineering in building science is similarly as in other f\u00EDelds based on a complex utilization of methods of computer design and experimental analysis and testing of the properties of a given materi\u00E1l from tne nano to macrolevel. However, such a complex topi\u010D including all types of methods of investigation is only rarely chosen for a PhD thesis. Therefore, it is useful to provide young scientists with a wider scope in the given field and familiarize them with the methods of analysis that are common in other f\u00EDelds of materials engineering in building science than in their own field of study.
