"It has been experimentally proved, that the combination of a new mini-thixoforming process with rapid solidification a rapid cooling processes can be used to influence the development of unconventional microstructures and thus also to influence properties of the material. To obtain the basic information about the possible translation of structure attributes from semi-product to final part, it is necessary to gain knowledge which would in the future enable efficient design and optimization of production processes consisting of the mentioned unconventional technologies. Steel semi-products with different processing and thus also with different structural state will be used in this project and they will undergo semi-solid state processing combined with rapid solidification and rapid cooling. Resulting demonstrator will be used for structure analysis and mechanical properties determination.
