The aims are i) characterization of candidate genetic determinants of Ag and Zn hyperaccumulation in ectomycorrhizal (ECM) Amanita\u00A0and Russula spp., respectively, ii) identification of other ECM species hyperaccumulating selected metals and metalloids and speciation analysis of accumulated metals, iii) investigation of trace elements concentrations in ectomycorrhizae, and iv) possibilities of application of Pb isotopes in fungal ecology. Characterized should be metal transporters of hyperaccumulating Amanita\u00A0and Russula spp. and metal-responsive transcriptional control of genes encoding metallothioneins and identified transporters. The genus-wide screening for candidate hyperacumulation genes and their expression will be conducted also in non-accumulating taxons. Metal uptake from the underlying soil profile will be studied in situ; Pb isotopic composition of fruit-bodies and soils will be investigated, as well as the quantitative distribution of mycelial biomass."@en . .
