The stabilization properties of the Mn oxide will be compared with other common methods, such as zerovalent Fe, phosphates, compost and phytostabilization.\u00A0The project's aim\u00A0will be achieved using a multi-disciplinary approach involving the use of chemical and mineralogical methods combined with plant experiments. The Mn oxide will be precisely characterized and its long-term stability in soils will be evaluated. Batch experiments will be performed in order to evaluate the influence of the stabilization amendments on metal/metalloid retention in the studied soils and in time. During three consecutive years, pot, rhizobox and in situ field experiments using common agricultural plants will be performed in order to evaluate the influence of the Mn oxide (including combinations with other amendments) on metal/metalloid uptake by the crops."@en .
