"The main goal of the project is to explain the reception and propagation of complex social, political and cultural processes - commonly subsumed into modernism - by the Moravian German culture. Particularly suitable for this intention is the period 1871-1939, when a number of radical changes took place in Moravia. Social models dominating the events in the Habsburg Monarchy (later in Czechoslovakia) clashed with radical ideological streams and movements from the German Reich. When studying these processes the team intends to concentrate among other things on the relation between the "centres of modernism" (Vienna, Berlin, Munich) and the periphery since Moravia has often been considered as periphery. Similarly the issue of forming collective identities plays a crucial role in this project. The team wants to examine how collective identities form with regard to changes brought about by "modernism". As for the methodology, the team focuses on traditional hermeneutics as well as on "cultural sciences"."@en . . . . "1"^^ . "http://www.isvav.cz/projectDetail.do?rowId=GAP406/10/0948"^^ . . . . . .
