"2014-04-18+02:00"^^ . . . "1"^^ . . "2"^^ . "Malignant melanoma is one of the most dangerous tumors. Its incidence is dramatically increasing worlwide including the Czech Republic. It is known that intercellular interactions represent one of the most important factors influencing the biological properties of malignant tumors. Results published earlier demonstrated that embryonic microenvironment significantly attenuates the aggressiveness of melanoma cells and so it can be hypothesized that the microenvironment is important for tumor growth. Unfortunately, the molecular basis of these interactions is not well understood. This topic represents the main subject of this project. Based on procedures developed in our laboratory, the interaction of melanocytes, keratinocytes and fibroblasts will be studied with purpose to better understand interactions of these cells in the tumor employing cell-biological and genomic approaches. The obtained results will be used for the refinement of diagnostics and for proposal of a new biological therapy targeting the intercellular interactions in melanoma."@en .
