"In earlier studies of the applicants, pharmacologically induced activation of adenosine A3 receptors was found to stimulate murine hematopoiesis. A3 adenosine receptor knock-out mice will be the principal object of the submitted studies. It may be hypothesized that hematopoiesis in A3adenosine receptor knock-out mice is in a suboptimal functional state. The aim of the project is an evaluation of the hematopoietic status of these mice under normal conditions and under conditions of experimentally evoked damage or stimulation. Investigations of the depth of the unsufficiency and its distribution among individual hematopoietic compartments differing in the rate of cell maturity and direction of differentiation can be supposed to provide an important information about the role played by\u00A0adenosine A3 receptors and their agonists in regulation of hematopoiesis.
