"It is proposed to study reactions of astrophysically relevant anions with atomic and molecular hydrogen and other small molecules at temperatures 10 - 300 K. We propose to study reactions of recently observed anions: e.g. C2H-, Cn-, CnH- (n > 2), CN-, C3N-. The reaction kinetics and temperature dependence of the reaction rate coefficients will be studied using 22-pole ion trap in combination with cold beam of atomic and molecular hydrogen. Energy of electrons produced in associative detachment reactions will be measured with magnetic adiabatic collimator, which was designed in our laboratory. Laser absorption technique will be used to monitor kinetic energy of stored ions. It is also proposed to study state selectivity of some anion-molecule reactions, e.g. reactions of C2H-, CN- anions with ortho- and para-H2 and eventually their dependence on rotational excitation of anions."@en . .
