"In the recent years, significant progress has been done in area of developing\u00A0advanced technologies for polymer processing for different\u00A0products such as nanofibers, having variety of possible applications, together with advanced medical and food films. Unfortunately, the processing window is very narrow in these cases and process optimization is extremely difficult due to unknown link between polymer melt rheology, equipment design, processing conditions and final product quality and properties. Main reason for that is firstly, absence of suitable rheological techniques for polymer melt characterization in strong extensional flows (especially for low viscosity melt blown polymers having melt index > 1000 g/10min), secondly, there is no stable physical model describing reasonably the extrudate formation in post die areas and finally, characterization of nanofiber based products is difficult.
