The main objective of this project is to exploit the hp-adaptivity for solution of large coupled hydro-thermo-mechanical problems arising from the engineering practice. The adaptivity methods will be used for space as well as for time discretization. hp-adaptivity will be used for solution of transport processes first and then problems of mechanics will be taken into account. The existing computer codes developed at the applicant\u2019s and co-applicant\u2019s departments for hp-adaptivity and coupled analyses will be used in this project.
