The main motivation of the project is to provide a substantial extension of current knowledge in the field of high-quality environmental-friendly building materials. The research work in this field, which belongs to the basic current trends of research in building science, is directed to materials with high-level utility properties which in comparison to currently used materials can be characterized by higher durability, lower demand for common raw materials, by the decrease of greenhouse gases emissions necessary for their production and by the reduction of the total energy consumption.
