"The proposed project is focused on study of relationship between electrical properties and blood flow in the heart ventricles. The main aim of the project is to reveal and confirm physiological origin of immediate change of QT intervals as a reaction on sudden change of heart rate and the following slow adaptation of QT interval. Animal experimental protocols for measurement on isolated hearts will be designed to build environment for setting various conditions of the heart. Animal experiments will be performed to record electrocardiographic signals from the hearts. The biosignals will be preprocessed by designed methods for effective noise reduction, ECG wave detection, and ECG cycle delineation. Further, methods for analysis of preprocessed biosignals to study QT interval behavior will be designed. The project will allow to confirm that immediate change of heart rate and corresponding change of blood flow cause immediate change and the following slow adaptation of QT intervals.
