"The use of parametric excitation for damping of mechanical structure vibration is still a subject of the theoretical research, while implementation such systems in machines was not up now realized. Under the grant project of GACR 101/07/1345 "Active control of journal bearings aimed at suppressing the rotor instability" significant extension of the working speed range of the journal bearings has been achieved by adding an electronic feedback, which does not act in actual bearing without active control. The new research project is focused on control of the bushing support stiffness in time. Movable bearing housing will be placed on two piezoactuators and the bushing position will be measured. The gain feedback will be changed so that the stiffness of the bushing support in housing becomes control variable. Mathematical simulation and experiments on the test stand will be used for research of parameters of such a bearing, which was created as part of the previous project.
