"Oribatid mite communities will be studied under the simultaneous or combined effects of humidity and interactions with the soil organisms. The internal anatomy, biology, physiology, ecology and ecology of model species and dynamics of their populations represent the significant characteristics of their responses and tolerances to these factors. Moss and lichen covers on rocks, trees or buildings as well as inert substrates (some reclaimed soils and inert slags) - are characterised by the extreme fluctuation of humidity and specific microorganismal communities, both suitable for expression of the predisposition's of the model group. The role of mites in regulation, but also dissemination of autochnonous or invading fungal populations will be observed infield and experiments.
