The aim of this study is to develop protocol for successful parthenogenetic activation of in vitromatured pig oocytes using nitric oxide (NO) donor. In our previous research we proved for the first time that pig oocytes can be activated through NO-dependent pathway. In this study we plan to improve the efficiency of this NO-activating protocol. In vitro culture of oocytes will be used for this purpose. We will investigate the effects of repeated short-term treatment with NO-donor on the activation of pig oocytes. Activating regimens combining the treatment with NO-donor and protein synthesis inhibitor cycloheximide or protein kinase inhibitor 6-dimethylaminopurine\u00A0will be used.
