Recently an effort was made to prepare cytostatics with a different molecular structure compared to that of commercial products. An attentionhas been focused on compounds with the protein character. Until now an unofficial co-work of Czech and Italian institutes led to knowledge that oligomeric RNase A preparations might be perspective for this purpose. According to this we prepared a projectwhere we aimed our effort on synthesis of tri- and tetramers of RNase A and on study their antitumor effectiveness. Above mentioned oligomers aggregate during lyophilization of RNase A from 40% acetic acid forming tri-, tetra-and higher oligomers. Tri- and tetrameric structure is formed by linkage of tree of four monomersby their C-terminals creating a circular structure. Both of these structures are catalytic active.
