"The main purpose of the project is to find optical (fluorescence and/or reflectance) parameter suitable for an early detection of biotic stress of grapevine plants caused by infection of fungus Plasmopara viticola directly in vineyards, and to find the mechanisms, which influence the distribution of phenolic compounds in the leaves and berries of grapevine plants after the infection. Variation of the optical parameters with that of chemical parameters will be correlated. Here, we shall apply novel statistical approach developed in the Department of Biological Dynamics (ISBE) for selecting fluorescence features yielding the highest contrast between the healthy and infected plants in the early phase of infection, and for selecting specific optical parameters suitable for non-invasive quantitative assessment of phenolic compounds in vine leaves and berries."@en .
