If the curricular reform is to take the desired direction, it must undergo quality research at all levels.The principles of the grant project submitted are to map and analyse the current state in terms of children\u2019s readiness for starting compulsory school attendance in compliance with the key competences of preschool curriculum. The performance of the project will be based upon the evaluation of the current state and the requirements of social practice and educational policy, based on research-based data (test battery) including children prior to starting compulsory school attendance, and upon analyses and comparisons of preschool education curricula in selected countries."@en .
