"Our subject is arranging and assessing the cooperation of parents, teachers and pupils during home preparation for school, and while doing their homework, in the first three years of school attendance. Furthermore, our focus is on intercultural comparison of this issue, in particular between Canada, France and Czech Republic. The proposal of our colleagues from universities (Toulouse, Nimes, Quebec), owing to which we participated in a common intercultural study, became an especially impulse for the study. The study observes the dynamics of school preparation of a pupil and the participation of parents and analyses cognitive, affective and behavioral components of parents attitude to school preparation. The project surveys the way of school preparation in terms of the family, perceived demandingness and the rate of participation from the parents and siblings side, possibilities of free time control and the complex impact on family relationships.
