The proposers consider the democratic environment inside the school a key condition necessary for the fulfillment of the basic objectives of schoolwork, which is the preparation of young people for a valuable life in a democratic society. The topic is considered in three dimensions: a) relations, values and beliefs; b) existing formal mechanisms and rules; c) real usage of possibilities which are monitored in the principal areas of the school functioning: in education, in personnel management, in organisation, in work with material sources, external school relations and the work of the school with visions. All these topics are related to the key groups of the school life: pupils, teachers, school managers, school employees and parents.
