The aim of this project is to study the role of sperm surface proteins in the fertilization process. Most proteins that influence the sperm functions are proteins of seminal plasma. Detailed identification of seminal plasma proteins and the study of their binding properties is necessary for better understanding of their roles. The present project proposes search for new types of proteins in boar, human, bull and canine seminal plasma and for homologous proteins in seminal plasma of different species.
