"The aim of the study is by means of fluorescence in situ hybridization ( FISH ) in bone marrow cells of patients with myelodysplastic syndrome ( MDS ), acute myeloid leukemia ( AML ) and acute lymfocytic leukemia ( ALL ) to : -study different types of acquired chromosomal translocation ( reciprocal, terminal, interstitial), in cells with special attention to the indentification of small rearrangements which are under limit of resolution of classical cytogenetic methods -determine the specificity ofthese translocations for different types of malignancies, evaluate their significance in the development of disease and their diagnostic and prognostic value - find the significance of specific translocations, deletions and numerical chromosomal changein mitoses and interphase nuclei for the stability and proliferation advantage in vitro - follow by methods of molecular cytogenetics the mechanisms and the origin of translocations in leukemic cells"@en . . .
