"The aim of our project is to test the hypothesis, that macropterous morph of P. apterus exhibits higher dispersal activity then its brachypterous morph. The research will include a long-term study of locomotor, feeding, drinking and mating activities, and analysis of walking path characteristics (walking speed, turnig rate, sinuosity etc.). Behavioural activities will be measured using EthoVision, The Observer software, and multi-chanel data acquisition system developed by the authors of the project. The second step will be a synthesis of obtained data and their translation into spatial displacement of the particular morph. For this purpose diffusion distance will be estimated by framework based on correlated random walk model. The diffusion distanceof the macropterous morph should be hypothetically higher than that of the brachypterous one.
