Results obtained within project of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic No. 206/00/0668 showed that in Europe Prussian carp several different clones were discovered with different origin supposed, nevertheless, the ancestral hybridizing species are still unknown. The analysis of Prussian carp progeny amongclones and bisexually reproducing individuals will contribute to detailed knowledge of mechanisms of unisexual reproduction and its variability. A study of phylogeographic organizat\u00EDon of different clones allows deeper understanding of origin and evolutionary dynamics of such vertebrate forms.
