"GA205/96/1743" . . "The earthquake ground-motion assesment is of great importance mainly in developing countries with high seismic activity and rapidly expanding cities. However, just there its scientific value is rather low. Our objective is to develop easily usable software, able to provide the ground-motion predictions at a good scientific level, with limited data and relatively low computer requirements. To reach this goal, several recent methods of the source and wave-propagation modelling should be effucientyl combined, i.e., new yhbrid methods should be developed. The software could be tested on seismic data from Greece, and distributed through universities with contacts to civil engineering companies.
