"The last few decades in solar physics can be characterised by a constant and steep increase of quality and volume of observational data available through the whole electromagnetic spectrum. The new observations represent a firm base for development of comprehensive models of the phenomena observed in the solar atmosphere. To test the validity and scope of the models, both observations and complex numerical simulations are necessary. In order to further contribute in this exciting field we propose to use two medium sized computer clusters and perform extended numerical simulations, modelling the processes and phenomena observed in the solar atmosphere using methods of high-performance computing, in solar magnetohydrodynamics, radiative-hydrodynamics,radiative transfer and kinetic and particle simulations.
