"The problem of propagation and evolution of solar wind structures and their interaction with outer magnetospheric boundaries represents an input and a key to Solar - Terrestrial relations. Progress in this field during past several years has shown that the understanding of these processes requires an analysis of simultaneous measurements in several points with the best possible time resolution. The present project enhances our possibilities in both aspects - it involves the development of a new generation of fast solar wind monitors and launch of two of them to appropriate orbits. The analysis of measurements of those and other monitors would enhance our knowledge on (1) propagation of ICMEs, (2) formation and evolution of CIRs, (3) interaction of these disturbances with the bow shock, (4) origin and evolution of magnetic holes in the solar wind and (5) formation, structure and evolution of HFAs. Detail analysis of high-time resolution measurements would elucidate the turbulent dissipation of sharp structures in the foreshock and its role in modification of the magnetic field direction.
