The objective of this project is a faster progress in developing, extending and applying the ray and other high-frequency methods in a varietyof directions. The emphasis will be put on new and more efficient algorithms for computation and inversion of seismic wave fields in 3-D inhomogeneous, isotropic and anisotropic structures, on understanding the physical meaning of their results, and on the estimation of their accuracy.
