Distinction of isomers is important for basic research as well as practical applications, e.g. study of biological systems, development of drugs and their production. In comparison to separation methods, the kinetic method demonstrates worse parameters of quantitation so far. The project is focused on detailed evaluation of influence of experimental parameters on quantitative results. The understanding of fundamental processes playing a role in the isomeric recognition is also its important part (kinetics of precursor ion fragmentation, formation of diverse isobaric structures of the precursor ion, discrimination of isomers in the process of analysis). Development of new applications (e.g. analysis of drugs and cyclic peptides) is integral part of the project.
