"The objective of the present project is to develop methods for a systematic study of aperiodic crystals. This will be done perfecting the program system for the control of the experiment ( the diffractometric measurements of the integral intensities of the diffracted beams) and to continue developing the indexation procedures applicable for multidimensional description . The second equally significant objective is the evolution of the program system JANA for the solution and refinement of modulated structures, which at present is in use in many laboratories abroad. It is necessary to develop an algorithm for a fast calculation of structure factors of aperiodic crystals with highly disturbed three-dimensional periodicity and to develop the application of non-standard functions for the description of heavily modulated crystals. The results will be applied to a series of compounds measured in the main by our colleagues abroad in terms of our existing collaboration."@en . "1.
