"The project is focused on the rare-earth and actinide ternary intermetallic compounds that exhibit unusual magnetocaloric effect (MCE). We plan to study two classes of materials. The first one comprises materials with significant MCE in unusually broad temperature range. Such MCE can be achieved in the rare-earth\u00A0RTX compounds by suitable substitutions on the rare-earth site. We expect to observe exceptional plateau-like MCE for certain compositions.
