"Ceria-supported transition metal (TM) appeared recently to have excellent properties for fuel reforming reactions and it is promising materials for development of low temperature fuel cells. One of roles of palladium in the hydrocarbon steam reforming process is the CO oxidation at low temperature that determines the fuel combustion temperature. The project is based on study of the reaction properties of model catalyst based on additives as Pd, Cu and Ag. Model systems will be well defined systems of 2D TM-Ce surface alloys and epitaxial TM nanosized particles on CeO2 single crystalline substrates.. Complex characterization of catalysts structure, chemical composition and reactivity represent the main goal of the proposal leading to explanation of mechanisms determining the reaction temperature. Influence of TM-Ce interfacial layer formation on catalyst properties will be investigated as a main effect responsible for TM-ceria oxide strong metal-substrate interaction."@en . "0"^^ . . .
