"The reported project consists of three related subjects - theoretical development of the structure analysis of aperiodic crystals, implementation of new techniques into the computing system Jana2000 and practical applications to various crystal structure"@en . . "JANA is a program for solving difficult crystal structures. It is a computation standard in the field of advanced crystallography with almost 400 registered users around the world. Currently it works with X-ray or neutron data measured on powders orsingle crystals and it is applicable to both standard and modulated structures up to 6 dimensions with possibility to use anharmonic treatment, rigid body approach and multipole refinement. The scope of this project is to continue development of JANA asa unified computing system for crystallography. In the first step we shall generalize the system to work with more than one phase so that multiphase access will be possible not only for powder data but also for polytype structures determined from singlecrystals. New algorithm for calculation of structure factor will enable refinement of magnetic structures that is requested by many users oriented to advanced physical studies.
