"The aim of the project is to propose and verify %22in vivo%22 the biotolerance and healing of %22carbon-carbon%22 and %22polyethylene glass%22 In living tissue, with the application of collagen proteoglycane copolymer. The project is concerned with the designing andpreparation of suitable basic composite materials (for implanting into living tissues) %22C-C%22 and %22PE-glass%22 with optimum values of mechanical parameters, such as the module of elasticity and tensile strength. Special attention will be directed towards structural treatment of the surface of the composites. In this sphere of research, attention will be paid (in the individual series) to variations of porous surfaces and surface coatings of composites with pyrolytic carbon. The aim of the project is further directed towards impregnation of composites with a suitable kind of collagen permitting biotolerance between the vital medium and the inanimate implant.
