. "The present knowledge of oxidation reactions accompanying plasma spraying of metals and alloys is not satisfactory. This is due to unusual reaction conditions, in particular extremely high temperatures not considered in most oxidation studies. The principal aim of the proposed project is to attain a higher level of understanding of the oxidation reactions accompanying plasma spraying. It is suggested to focus the research programme on plasma spraying of iron- and nickel-base alloys, important fromthe point of view both of physical metallurgy and of the industrial practice. The oxides present in plasma deposits result from two successive reaction stages : oxidation of metallic particles flying in the plasma stream, oxidation after the impact of the particles against the substrate surface. The reaction products resulting from the first stage and from the entire spraying process, corresponding to both oxidation stages, will be studied. Oxidy v plazmov\u00FDch n\u00E1st\u0159ic\u00EDch jsou produkty dvou etap oxida\u010Dn\u00ED reakce, a to etapy prob\u00EDhaj\u00EDc\u00ED za letu kovov\u00FDch \u010D\u00E1stic v proudu plazmatu a etapy, kter\u00E1 n\u00E1sleduje po dopadu \u010D\u00E1stic na povrch podlo\u017Eky.
