The principal objectives of the project include: - application of the TRIP phenomenon in steady-state, quasi-steady-state and non-steady-state bulk forming technologies (rolling, extrusion, forging); - finding the thermomechanical processing procedure, which results in maximum increase in plasticity of material for cold deformation; - verification of possible application of interstage annealing to TRIP steels. Application of the TRIP effect in investigated technologies will be possible thanks to relatively accurate temperature and strain condition predictions, obtained by plastometric, pilot and numerical simulation. High plasticity will be achieved through refinement and suitable morphology of individual phases before cold deformation, i.e. formation of maxi-mum fraction of retained austenite with high stability so that its major portion transforms during last cold"@en .
