Globular form of graphite in nodular cast iron causes that its fatigue characteristics are determined in substantially wider extentby the properties of metal matrix than in cast irons with different graphite morphology (flake o vernicular graphite) where the dominant role is played by notch effect of graphite particles. Fatigue characteristics can be then correlated not only withthe parameters of graphite morphology but especially with the parameters of matrix structure. The main aim of presented project is the studies of influences of selected factors, above all the influences of selected factors, above all the influence ofloading cycle asymmetry and loading mode on fatigue properties of many variants of ADI (especially various transformation temperatures are considered).
