"The main objective of this project, aiming at achieving deeper understanding of physical-metallurgical fundaments of processes occurring in microalloyed cast steels, is to find such chemical composition and heat treatment parameters, that optimummicrostructure and mechanical properties are obtained in these steels. Effects of both primary heat treatment and following heat treatment consist in %22conventional%22 quenching and tempering and/or intercritical quenching on modified microalloyed caststeels with the content of carbon 0.15 weight per cent and of manganese 1.5 weight per cent are to be compared. The attention will be focused on strengthening influence of microalloying with vanadium, titanium, niobium and molybdenum, and effectsresulting from varying contents of nickel and copper.
