"Subject of the project consists in optimization of design and technological parameters at continuous casting plant for round section strands by theoretical-experimental research. Within the frame of research, a\u00A0numeric model code of round strand solidification will be improved and completed. Experimental research will be based on special measuring of temperature profiles along a mould height and on application of all accessible statistical operational data. Real moulds wear data and mould friction data as well as results of\u00A0hot model of secondary cooling zone will be included in evaluation. Experimental data will be used as boundary conditions in theoretical research on simulation numerical model. New observations will be used for a design of universal mould profile for round strands, which assure a sufficient contact between shell and mould wall while minimization of mould wear.
