"The aim of the project is to gain and compile in a systematic way new scientific findings and data by studying the thermodynamic properties and phase equilibria in systems of fluids and fluid mixtures; knowledge of these data is prerequisite for the design of separation units. Based on the long-term experience and scientific potential of the research team of the E. H\u00E1la Laboratory of Thermodynamics, the research will focus on (i) creating the theoretical and methodological basis for experimental determination of fluid phase equilibria in the region from subatmospheric to critical pressures (ii) measuring accurate data and compiling databases for the development and verification of the methods for thermodynamic property modelling and predictions, (iii) developing the thermodynamic models and data processing schemes for the types of fluids and lluid mixtures and/or state conditions so far resisting the quantitative description.
