"Suggested research is oriented to study decomposition of mixed metal oxides and ferrites by gaseous hydrogen chloride in the temperature range 200-1000\u00B0C and downstream separation of the products. Aim of the project is to determine the conditions for theseparation of zinc and heavy metals from the iron compounds in fine hazardous waste from steelmaking process. We suppose that just the application of hydrogen chloride may be more efficient than either slow hydrometallurgy processes with waste amount of liquids treated\u00A0or energy consuming pyrometallurgy processes with gas emissions. Waste PVC can serve as a potential source of cheap hydrogen chloride for the chloride metallurgy.\u00A0It is necessary to study the kinetics of related reactions\u00A0with standard oxidic mixtures.
