The effect of various material properties (ceramic membranes vs. dispersed particles) and operating conditions on the permeate flux in two-phase cross-flow microfiltration will be investigated. Further, cake (gel) and concentration polarisation layer build up on the membrane surface and their relationships with performance of the process will be studied. Also theoretical equations for the permeate flow through ceramic membrane during two-phase cross-flow microfiltration will be formulated and operational conditions of the process will be optimised."@en . . .
