"The thermal and hygric properties of selected typical building materials will be studied under nonstandard conditions, such as high temperature, high moisture content and a combination of mechanical, thermal and hygric effects. The methods for measuring moisture diffusivity and water vapor diffusion will be improved to include beside the dependence on moisture also the dependence on temperature and mechanical stress. A new method for measuring linear thermal expansion up to 1000\u00B0C will be developed, thecurrent method of differential thermal analysis will be modified for the application up to 1000\u00B0C. On the basis of the measured pore distribution curves and electron microscope images, the correlation between the structural changes induced by thermal, h ygric and mechanical stresses and the hygric and thermal material parameters will be analyzed.
