Their lateral pressure acting on belonging walls has a significant influence especially in geotechnics. According to a wall movement direction it is distinguished active (out) and passive lateral pressure (into). The project concerns with basic knowledge in soil mechanics on a granular material behaviour which is\u00A0wide applicable. Both contemporary theory and practice (\u010CSN, EC7-1) is based on simplified and incorrect idea of the extreme optimal earth pressures acting on the whole wall height.
