"When solving the question of log term structure-soil interaction is necessary to focus our attention onirreversible processes both in upper structure and mainly in subsoil. These processes are affected by sequenceof building. Concerning the upper structure the major of irreversible changes are processed during the buildingup structure due to hydration and shrinkage. Subsoil consolidated its structure to the maximum surcharge ofupper structure. In contradiction to the upper structure in subsoil grow up the additional plastic strain affectedby suction. Thus the variation of water table increases the subsidence. When the air penetrates the water in theporous medium of subsoil the effective stress significantly increases. Subsequent flooding the subsoil causesthe collapse of skeleton due to loss of suction. To solve the upper mentioned problem, it needs long termobservation of subsidence of footings or foundation slabs. Reliable description of subsoil requires physical nonlinear modeling.
