"The project is aimed to research concrete reinforced both with conventional steel bars and fibres and its application in designing structural members.\u00A0 FRC reinforced with steel bars is not frequently exploited in the current practice. The objective is to prove the influence of various types and quantities of fibres on the increase of the rotation capacity of plastic zone of FRC structure with steel-bar reinforcement in contrast to RC structure. The effect of FRC on the increase of the rotation capacity allows using a higher level of stress redistribution for structural analysis. This leads to a more economical structural design. Large ductility of FRC and its residual tensile strength substantially reduce the risk of a sudden brittle collapse of the structure. The aim of the research can be achieved only within the framework of a vast experimental programme. It is necessary to choose proper structural materials, types of tests, scatter of measurements and methods of evaluation of the results."@en .
